Fact-based musings and opinions by an astute observer of politics, culture, and faith — and very often where they intersect.
There’s a lot going on out there that you most likely missed. Most likely, I didn’t. All opinions are my own. You don’t have to agree with me but I do hope you give serious thought to what I post. It just might open your eyes, step on your toes, or make your day — or all three.
I am a happily married, proud mother of 3 Rush babies, ages 16 to 29; small business co-owner with my husband; a Christian saved by grace through Jesus Christ; and a comprehensively conservative Constitutional patriot. I have been a very active and outspoken TEA Party patriot from the very first Tax Day TEA Party on April 15, 2009 and now consider myself a recovering TEA Party idealist. I hate what has happened to my country and have full realization of just what is needed to turn things around. I’ve had it with the elitist political party leaders and pundits, talk radio and TV show hosts, and yes, even TEA Party leaders and bloggers telling me what I’m supposed to believe or do. I pay razor sharp attention to what’s going on behind the scenes, do my own research, and come to my own conclusions. I consider myself a TEA Party realist, not a TEA Party purist and believe core principles, resolve, and political smarts trump idyllic rhetoric (despite its noble intent.)
Reality dictates the necessity of war-gaming to regain lost ground, inch by inch if necessary.I support Re-Founders of our Constitutional Republic, not transformers of such be they from the increasingly Marxist Left, the milquetoast moderate wing of the Republican party, or the growing faction of out-of-touch Ayn Randians seeking annexation to the party of Reagan. My faith in and relationship with Jesus Christ was the catalyst for me to step onto the cultural and political battlefield where hearts and minds are being assaulted, corrupted, and wholly misled.
James 4:17 So whoever knows the right thing to do and fails to do it, for him it is sin.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing.” ~ Edmund Burke
I put my journalistic pursuits on hold the day I discovered we were expecting our firstborn (with absolutely no regrets whatsoever) and am now ready and on fire to enter the blogosphere to share my observations and opinions on matters that do indeed matter.
